Garage Door Installation for a Converted Garage

Many homeowners are now choosing to convert their garages into usable spaces, and Rob was no exception. He wanted to create more room for his fitness equipment while also ensuring that his garage was well-insulated and retained heat.
To meet Rob’s requirements, we recommended replacing his old up-and-over garage door with a space-saving automatic roller garage door. The old door’s internal guides took up space and made it difficult for Rob to perform overhead exercises. A roller garage door rises vertically, allowing us to remove the outdated internal overhead guides and provide Rob with the space he needed.
Insulated garage doors have become increasingly popular due to their ability to keep your garage warm in the winter and cool in the summer. They are made from foam-filled aluminium and are designed to enhance insulation. In addition to the foam-filled aluminium door curtain, they are installed with draft-proofing strips, which will significantly minimise heat loss.
To protect Rob’s fitness equipment, roller garage doors come equipped with an audible alarm. If someone tries to gain access by prying the garage door curtain upwards, a loud alarm will notify Rob of any security breaches and startle any potential intruders.
