Since the garage had only one entry point (through the garage door opening), we suggested installing an external manual release. This involves a key lock on the exterior of the garage, which, when unlocked, reveals a crank handle that can be turned to open the garage door from the outside. An external manual override is beneficial in case of a power cut, enabling access to the garage and the ability to manually open the automatic garage door.
